One of the best things about the acoustic guitar is that you can get very far and make a lot of great music with some very simple tools and yet, if you want to, you can eventually take your acoustic guitar playing in to the outer stratosphere of virtuosity. But all great journeys start at the beginning, and the beginning of our journey starts with basic strumming.

So in this very first tutorial we'll explore the most simple, and yet extremely useful way to strum our basic open chords. We'll also look at some simple ways to make it sound extra musical while reviewing a few of the open chords from Guitar Fundamentals. And t the end of the tutorial, we'll break down and play through a simple practice tune, so you can hear how it all works in a musical context. Let's get started!
