A lot of 'tappers' tend to do just that: tap, and only tap. In order to play a fully rounded solo however, you need to tap your riffs using the same kinds of techniques that you'd normally play by picking them. Bends, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, or any number of combinations of those, are all a part of most solos.
To start things off in this chapter we're going to get into bend tapping. Keep in mind, again, to practice these riffs with each finger of the right hand instead of just your first finger. In the future you'll find this will come in handy when you have combinations of bends, taps, pulls, slides, etc.
