Description

Holy smokes this was a hard tab to write out!

First thing I'll say is, I've gone over this tab a bunch of times to check it's accuracy and hopefully there's nothing really goofy about it. If you notice any glaring errors in this tab (or any of my other ones for that matter), please let me know. If I don't hear from anyone I'll assume that I either got it perfect or nobody's bothered reading the stupid thing. (Keep in mind that I'm usually half asleep on the floor watching Star Trek from 2am to 6am when I do these things, so have pity). Anyway, meanwhile back on the farm ...

What I've tried to do with this tab is take some of the ideas from previous tabs & MP3s I've uploaded and put 'em together into one solo. There are written notes below the tabs to explain where you can find the other examples & various hints along the way describing what the schmeck I'm doing.

Personally, I think once you get the hang of tapping, this solo is relatively easy to play (i.e.: you'll start thinking about what to make for supper while you're playing it).

Just think 'tap, pull, hammer....tap, pull, hammer' for most of it. Barre strings where you can so that your left hand stays anchored and doesn't scrape the strings unless you want it to be part of your solo. Last but not least, go out and get yourself one of those hairbraid thingys to wrap around the neck of your guitar to dampen the open strings. I can't stress enough how usefull those things are when not only tapping but just general noise reduction during recording sessions. The perfect one also gives you excellent automatic harmonics
depending on where on the neck you place it. And besides, the neon ones look
really groovy in a far out kinda way, man.

Peace & Grooviness
