Guitar Tricks is committed to observing U.S. copyright law and protecting the rights of songwriters.
In accordance with U.S. law (Title 17, Section 107), our instructors occasionally will reference a small portion of a copyrighted work in our lessons for the education of our students.
To further comply with the wishes of copyright holders, our lessons are written in accordance with the Music Publishers' Association guidelines as follows:
For academic purposes other than performance, multiple copies of excerpts of works may be made, provided that the excerpts do not comprise a part of the whole which would constitute a performable unit such as a section, movement, or aria but in no case more than 10% of the whole work. The number of copies shall not exceed one copy per pupil.
